My latest pictures

I recently got some pictures back from Snapfish.  You may recognize the picture on top, it is the WWII Pacific War museum that I wrote about a few days ago.  As I was going through my pictures I was stunned with the last picture.  What a cute dog, I guess, but whose dog is he?  Not mine!  And I must confess, I don't really like dogs.  Sandy thinks it is a sign that I need a dog, I think it is a sign that someone is missing their picture of their dog.

This is not the first time Snapfish has done this to me.

Here is our Christmas picture from this past year.

I was stunned when I reached into the box and pulled this picture out.  Cute kids.  Are they yours?  Maybe the above dog is their's?  I wonder if anyone gets some of our pictures????

A thousand words or a picture? Ask Elizabeth!

Isn't that just beautiful?!?

Our friend, ElizabethT, asked Kaitlin to take a few pictures of her house in the spring. Her azaleas were just beautiful. Elizabeth also said that she loved having a picture of her previous house and planned to make one of Kaitlin's pictures bigger and hang it on the wall. That gave Kaitlin an idea, why not have her friend, Ross, do one of his fancy, on the computer, amazing pictures of Elizabeth's house. He does outstanding work. When we got it we thought, oh, we'll wait and give it to her on her birthday in December. HA! That thought lasted about 5 seconds. We couldn't wait.

On Tuesday as soon as Kaitlin was finished with her lab she met me at Elizabeth's house. Here is Elizabeth just smiling but her curiosity is about to kill her, her gift is under my blue raincoat in front of her. She watched me walk into her house with it and couldn't figure out for the life of her what I had.

Pretty nifty! To say that Elizabeth loved it would be an understatement. How fun it to be a part of giving. God's timing was perfect, as always, Elizabeth had had a very sad day the day before and this gift helped lift her spirits.

A Wonderful Day

Yesterday, Kaitlin didn't have class. It was her study day and finals start today. She had a bizillion errands to run and we did them together. We left when Marisa left. (Marisa was going to take her last final!)

We started at UALR returning library books. Kaitlin had a cd to give to Brittany so we dropped it by her office on campus and then stayed for a wonderful visit.

Marisa called and was finished! We met her for lunch at Apple Spice Junction. It is a wonderful restaurant near UALR that has wonderful sandwiches and soups including potato soup that is amazing.

Then to see Julie at her shoe store. We picked up a few Christmas presents there or as Kaitlin likes to say " We saw Santa and he said' Psst, Kaitlin, here are a few gifts for... ' I would say for whom but I think she reads this. Are you curious???? A few clues- she doesn't live in the same state as I do and we're related???

Then we were off to Mama G's. Kaitlin and I enjoyed seeing her look at the pictures that Kaitlin had taken of her 5 beautiful daughters. She enjoyed that Kaitlin left in some of the humorous shots of the girls as joked with each other.

We had hoped to visit with Sandy as we gave her her picutres but she was out running errands when we got to her and we gave them to her son. He was thrilled because he said that as soon as his mama got them he wouldn't be able to see them again.

We ended our day sharing supper with our College an Career group. Lots of laughing was had by all.

A wonderful day.

are you in pictures?

Here are some of the over 600 pictures Kaitlin took of Tim Tebow this past Saturday. This series is funny because if you notice the ar cheerleaders, one decided to try and speak to Tim. Notice the girl on the end with her arm raised in the first picture. Tim Tebow has football on his mind. He never even sees her. I wonder what I do or have done that someone has captured in a picture. Kinda scary...

Painting with Light

Kaitlin is still working on her project for her photo class. The faceless protraits are on the back burnner now and painting with light is the current area she is exploring.

We usually wait until an hour after sundown and then we head outside. Last night she wanted lots of white clothes too. Carl found me this handy cane that also has a seat on it so I head out with that. I usually am the shutter button pusher but I do have a staring role this week. Marisa is behind me drawing wings with a flashlight. I am so impressed with her ability to draw without seeing what she has drawn.

What we do on Friday nights Enjoy!

Night Shots

It is great fun having children! I am so thankful for our children and that they want to do things with the family. Last night we went to church so that Kaitlin could take some photos for her class this semester. Now she is thinking about night shots. In these shots, glow sticks and flashlights were used with a wide open shutter. Ross and Bob are two of Kaitlin's friends that always say " Why didn't you write my name?" Now they can't say that any more. John has always love sharks and he drew the shark. My stellar performance is in the first picture. I am on the right. The rest of the time I was pushing the button on the camera after Kaitlin set everything up. Carl and Marisa helped too.

Here they are. Enjoy!

07-07-07 Wedding

Kaitlin took pictures at a wedding this morning. The wedding started at 9 am. The bride and groom left the reception at 1pm. It was beautiful. There was a wonderful atmosphere about the whole event. The Mother of the Bride and the Bride were great to work with and for. They knew what they wanted and were kind in telling us about it.

The lady who made the cake told Kaitlin that she had several weddings today. Kaitlin is glad to just have one. At her weddings I usually chase after Kaitlin with the list of pictures written down so she doesn't have to remember them all and the paper can be her brain. Carl now uses her other camera . She had a list for him at this wedding. Kaitlin stays with the Bride and lets Carl get the other shots. It is fun. I am glad we can support her in this way.

It is fun to be at weddings with ours so soon. Several folks have called me when they received their invitations.
