2015 resolutions

Yikes!  I better write down my 2015 resolutions before I get too far into the New Year!

My sweet mama would be 90 this year so to honor her I have set the goal of writing 90 letters and reading 90 books.  Those were two things she loved to do.

I would like to take 24 meals to folks this year.

I plan to have 12 gatherings at my house.  I have realized that I am neater and pitch more stuff out if I have folks over so here we go!

I hope to pray for each person on my church directory and each person on my Christmas card list twice this year.

I hope to finish several counted cross stitch projects.  I also hope to not buy anymore until these are finished!

Scrapbook 2014 and 2015 plus finish John and Marisa's wedding album- they got married in 2010 :o

Memorize Colossians 3 and say it to my sister in law, Frances and my friend, Sue.

I hope to love those that God has given me with great intentionality.

Stop seeking approval of others.

Consider the Lilies and not worry.

Look for acts of HESED.  I just read Pied Piper by Nevil Shute and this is a beautiful picture of it.

I love seeing your resolutions!!!!

themes, goals, plans

I love New Year's resolutions.  I have made them for as long as I can remember.  When my children were at home, I made them make them.  My list is probably more a goal list rather than resolutions.  A few of my goals are-  have folks over more, read 60 books, get rid of/organize/throw out lots of stuff in our wreck room, memorize Romans 8, watch less TV, use the scrapbook paper I have and don't buy any new-that was painful to write, go to Physical Therapy 3 times a week, etc etc etc

I plan to have a theme for each month that helps with my goal thinking.  January's theme is Just do it.

I have made a theme for 2012 that helps with my goals too.

2012 theme is  Simplify. Forgive. Move.

What are your resolutions?

Do you believe Yoda?

This article really made me think as I ponder my New Year's Resolutions.   Are you trying?

It's July Fool's Day!

Six months from today will be New Year's Day.

Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? I did. I just reviewed them and I've done one and started on several others and haven't touched the rest.

I have sent more cards and letters, written down books that I have read, started my 2009 scrapbook, saved stuff from 2010 for that scrapbook and started on my scripture memory.

There are about 8 others I need to work on or take them off my list.

I like to think about what we were doing 6 months ago and what I think I'll be doing in 6 months. Six months ago I watched some wonderful AUBURN football and then we went to Don and Betty's New Year's party and we ended the night seeing Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat. Six months from today I wonder what we will be doing. I'll, Lord willing, have a new daughter-in-law, so my house will be a little quieter. I hope to be watching some good football and sharing some laughs with good friends.

How about you? Did you make some resolutions? What were you doing? What do you plan to do?

Happy Middle of the Year Day!

New Year's Resolutions

I love making New Year's Resolutions. I love the newness and the clean slateness of it. So here are some of mine for 2010. I plan to aim for 10 with the 2010 ness. I know you are thinking why not 20 but I think I'd get overwhelmed.

Memorize 12 Bible verses. I am still undecided if they will be in 12 different addresses or if I'll memorize a group of verses.

Send more cards and letters this year.

Bake cookies once a month.

Read more books from the library.
I am trying to not buy as many books this year. My friend, Anne, suggested that when I get the urge to get on my computer and order a book from amazon.com that I should get on my computer and order the books from the library and have them sent to my branch. I plan to try it Anne!

Be faithful with my PT.
I am almost able to do everything that I have been assigned and I plan to go three times a week and get to a point where I can ask for more exercises that I can do.

Neaten up our 'wreck room'.
Kaitlin and I plan to work on this in the spring.

Scrapbooks to make
1) Our family one for 2009
2)John's senior trip
3)Andrew's Jambo album
4) Andrew's Philmont album

Do you make resolutions? Care to share with us?
