When Marisa came to live with us, Carl told her she had to work full time or go to school full time and work part-time. She chose the latter. It is amazing how God has provided her with work that fits into her school schedule. Marisa loves to babysit and she has several families that use her as their primary sitter. It is also amazing how these families are having a wonderful influence on Marisa.
One such family has a son, James. The last time Marisa babysat for them she put James to bed. James asked her to sing him the Doxology while he drank his milk. Marisa went blank on the words and the tune. So she asked James to sing it for her. In his beautiful, 2 year old voice, he sang it out with gusto. She said that it was just wonderful. Then he asked Marisa to join him and she did.
I believe that the angels above were singing with them too.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
thank you for "adopting" miss marisa and taking her into your believing home in her time of need.
she is blessed by you, and then further she is being blessed by others she comes in contact b/o knowing the monroes and.... then we are blessed b/o knowing her....a chain reaction of sorts.
what a picture of our adoption into the kingdom of God and the blessings that flow from Him to us, to others and.....then our love blesses Him back.
((it's easier for me to see how blessed we are by knowing marisa than God being blessed by knowing us but i **know** the Word says we do bless Him- He enjoys us and delights in us and even sings over us and quiets us with his love, hopefully as we do marisa.))
So sweet!
We put that line on H's birth announcement when he was born. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! It's one of our favorites.
