I saw God at the bank today.

I got yelled out this week.

I don't like getting yelled at.

I was setting up some details for a meeting and I didn't do what someone wanted. Now, mind you, I didn't know what they wanted. There was a phone call and lots of anger directed at me. The nerve of me for not knowing.

I was undone.

God is so awesome. He surrounded me with a loving family that loved on me. He gave a Godly husband that gave wise counsel and He sent me to the bank.

The bank you are asking?

At the bank the next day, I walked in. I usually use the drive through window but needed to go inside to get a few forms. As I was visiting with Brandi and DeeDee, a man used the drive through window. He wanted to cash a check made out to him and two other people. The bank couldn't cash it because all of said folks had not signed the check. To say the man at the window was upset would be an understatement. He was MAD! He asked the sweet teller if she knew how much money he had in the bank and a few other choice questions about his account. She responded with " Sir, I am sorry" to each of his stupid questions. In my opinion, he was a jack*@^. He left skid marks as he drove away.

I was standing there dumbfounded. The sweet teller calmly went back with her normal tasks. I told how sorry I was that she got yelled at and she said "Our wonderful customers more than make up for the others."

I, again, was dumbfounded.

Things I learned:

I need to not dwell on the yelling person but on all the wonderful folks who are helping with the meeting and not only helping but doing over and above.

I am thanking God that I don't have folks yelling at me everyday.

I also need to write a 'good' letter to my bank and let them know that they have an amazing employee at my branch.

I was also convicted with the thought- in my life am I the sweet teller or do I leave skid marks on folks?

Tidbits of Life

Just a few random things

I had my first tomato/mayo/salt sandwich today. mmmmm

My Friend, Kym, is on her way to a soccer tourny in south MS. The temp is close to 100. She was wondering what to wear. She asked another mother by saying "Short of wearing nothing, what do you wear?" The other mother calmly looked at Kym and said, "I wear a strapless tube dress with nothing on underneath" Kym was shocked! TMI She was joking about the 'short of wearing nothing'. The other mother was not.

A lizard was on my mail in the mail box. I opened the box and reached my hand in and then screamed. My hero, Marisa, got a stick and got Mr. Lizard out and then got the mail. I am not a big nature girl.

My friend, JanR, is on a family vacation. Their destination is Yellowstone. JanR loves my sweet tea and tea in general. She called me today to say they were traveling through the town of Tea. I'm not sure if the town was in Iowa, Nebraska or South Dakota. Jan thinks, she and I need to move there.

It is hot, just in case you didn't know.

Thursday's lunch

I went to a home party today for clothes. I got there just after Bible Study at 11:30am. I was hungry. There was food on the table. There were nuts, cookies, bread, crackers and a casserole. It looked like maybe potato or grits. Did I mention I was hungry? I got a plate and put several spoons full of the casserole, some crackers, two pieces of bread, some nuts and a cookie. I then got my glass of water. I found a seat in a corner by Peggy. We had a wonderful visit as I dug in to eat. The casserole was some sort of onion and cheese mixture. And it was wonderful. As I had my 5th spoon full of casserole in my mouth I realized that no one was using a spoon but me. Oh, No! It wasn't a delicious casserole but a dip.... A Dip... A Dip?!? How was I to know that? How did they know that and I didn't? I quickly began using my spoon to spread the dip on my bread and that was good to but not as good as just straight up dip. Did anyone see me? I wanted to crawl in a hole. If they did see me they were gracious enough to not say anything or maybe too stunned by my behavior. I was stunned by my behavior.

Oh, well, to quote John Austin, when he was about 5 and I did something stupid, "We all do stupid things, Mama."

Olympics

Andrew and I laughed at the information being put out by the Chinese government about the Olympics: Should you be kidnapped by terrorists at next months olympics, you should stay calm, don't panic and text the police.

Andrew's comment- We are talking about the people who successfully captured airplanes and flew them into buildings and my best hope is that they forget to take my cel phone?

Just when you think you have seen it all...

Today is Brittany's birthday! She is a friend of Kaitlin's. She wanted to be in some jumping pictures on her birthday. I drove down to UALR with Clare, parked and got out to take the jumping pictures. Kaitlin got the camera all set up for me and they began to jump and laugh. Then just when you think you have seen it all...

A workman from somewhere asked to be in the picture? I was dumbfounded. So here is some strange guy with Kaitlin and Brittany, in a jumping picture, on Brittany's birthday.
